It hasn't been the most exciting day of World Cup football thus far. On days like this, we need our pundits to step up to the mark. ITV knew what they were doing when the wheeled out Roy Keane for their coverage of Spain vs. Iran.

Of course, Keane has a little bit of history with the Iran coach Carlos Queiroz.

Queiroz was in his second spell as assistant to Alex Ferguson when Keane made his ignominious departure from Manchester United in 2005, and was thought to be one of the main reasons for the Cork man's crabbiness in the weeks leading up to his shock exit.

When asked about his former coach before tonight's game, he told us exactly what he thought.

His second spell when he came back... for some reason, towards the end of my time there, I found him really disrespectful towards me, so we had a bit of a fall-out.

He questioned my loyalty, and I told him where to go. And one of my big regrets really, I probably should have ripped his head off.

Classic Roy Keane.

The coup de grace is really jumping right back into a compliment.

Excellent coach, and he's doing an excellent job, it has to be said.

It's a much better story than the last time ITV asked a former Manchester United player to tell a story about the Portuguese coach.
