Don't you love it when a ridiculous plan comes together?
Last week, the lads on"That Peter Crouch Podcast" were shooting the breeze and laughing at some of their listeners' tales about asking Roy Keane for a photo. As we've discussed onsite in the past, Keane has had some interesting reactions when it comes to fans asking for selfies.
After being sent a photo by a listener featuring Roy Keane with an ice-cream, the lads on the podcast had asked fans to display it in their windows at home but now they're thinking bigger.
Some of his reported replies to those who've been brave enough to ask for a quick pick have inspired Crouch's co-presenter Chris Stark to come up with a new idea. Whenever this whole coronavirus situation passes the lads want to have a photo exhibition in art gallery called "Can I have a photo, Roy?, featuring fan photos with Roy Keane that are simply titled whatever response he gave when he was asked to be in said selfie:
It's really rare that you walk into an art gallery and you laugh. You look at something there and it's funny. I really like the idea that we could set up a little gallery somewhere and you go from picture to picture and piss yourself. And each one of these photos just needs the quote that Roy said when the picture was being done.
Starting with the fan story that inspired the idea - podcast listener, Zy's "Make it fucking quick, I’ve got a plane to catch.”

Another listener shared his experience: "I saw Roy Keane at Villa Park a few years ago. I said 'Roy Keane, can I have a photo?' He said 'Are you going to say fucking please?'." Thus, the second item in the exhibition:

The idea has since taken off. So much so that there is now a Twitter account dedicated to it.

You can listen to the lads' full discussion about their "Can I have a photo, Roy?" idea on last week's podcast from 12:20 in here and there's an update on the photos they've been sent since on their most recent show here. Of course we all know he's a sweetheart at the back of it all.
Listening back to @PeterCrouchPod on Roy Keane... hilarious, but this is us with Roy. He met with us to help raise awareness of @NHSOrganDonor...we got plenty of pics, and even a smile 😊 @petercrouch #YesIDonate #IsDeontóirMé pic.twitter.com/H1NZR6QjWC
