When it comes to comedic timing, there are few pundits who get it right as often as Roy Keane.
While you might not initially think of him as someone who brings the laughs whenever he appears on a broadcast, he always has the capability of dropping a cutting line at the perfect moment. There have been countless examples of that in the past, with the way the Irishman leans into his no nonsense personality only adding to the bit.
We were given another example on Sky Sports this afternoon.

Roy Keane cracks up Sky Sports pundits with magician comment
The hilarious lines we get from Roy Keane are usually related to action we see on the football pitch, but this was a different type of review from the Cork native.
It came in the Sky Sports studio when magician Dynamo was on hand to wow Keane, Micah Richards, and Jamie Carragher with some incredible tricks. You could tell he was doing his best to suss out what was going on, although his only explanation was that Richards was also in on the act.
"What in the Game of Thrones is going on here?!" 🤯🔥
Breath-taking magic and a star-studded line up 💫@dynamoisdeadx https://t.co/9qPn9C4SmT | 14.12.23 on Sky Max | @skytv pic.twitter.com/bvcc2TVmzy— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) December 3, 2023
Decent tricks in all fairness.
However, the most memorable moment came when Dynamo stepped away from the set. When asked what he thought of the act, Roy Keane gave the most on-brand response imaginable.
"It's his job isn't it?" 😂
Roy, please never change 🤣 pic.twitter.com/3qNUH4yesZ— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) December 3, 2023
It's his job, isn't it?
No it was excellent, very good. I couldn't suss him out.
Absolutely brilliant. You could tell he had that line in his pocket all day and was just waiting for the opportunity. It does not take much to get Micah Richards to crack up, but that line from Roy Keane nearly finished him.
This is the type of content that we need to see more of involving the former Manchester United captain.
