Unsurprisingly, tournament favourites France kicked off their Euros with a 1-0 win over Austria last night, nevertheless, the win was undoubtedly marred by Kylian Mbappé's injury and subsequent yellow card, which left Roy Keane livid with his gamesmanship.
While France will be satisfied with their three points, Kylian Mbappé paid the price, picking up a needless yellow card in just the first round of the tournament.
The incoming Real Madrid star was yellow carded by referee Jesus Gil Manzano after he re-entered the pitch and sat down, having left to receive treatment for an injury to his face - putting a halt to play and delaying game-time while France were reduced to ten men.
Last night's yellow card means should Mbappé receive a second yellow before the quarter-final stage of the tournament, he'll be suspended for one game and France will be without their most influential player, in what would be a massive loss to Deschamps men.

Roy Keane slams Kylian Mbappé for needless yellow card
While there was some confusion over whether Mbappé had taken it upon himself to re-enter the pitch or a member of the management instructed him to do so, over on ITV, Roy Keane had no sympathy for the star, claiming it was 'out of order'.
Yeah he gets an injury obviously but it's frustrating, he's gone back on the pitch, whether he's trying to stop the play, but he's gone on to sit on the pitch, I don't like to see this, this is out of order.
Listen, whether he's been instructed by the manager to go back, he's obviously had treatment he's come off, I don't mind he's gone back on the pitch I know players can make a mistake, but to go back and sit on the pitch, he deserved that yellow card, I don't like to see it. No it's not (Good Gamesmanship)
While Roy Keane was clearly unimpressed with Mbappé's antics that appeared to delay the game while France were down to ten players, Mbappé had in fact broken his nose and left the pitch bloodstained.
Despite leaving the stadium in an ambulance and an initially pessimistic update from manager Didier Deschamps who told the media 'he's not doing well. His nose got badly hit', Mbappé will not require any surgery and will be available to Didier Deschamps for selection.
Instead, he will be treated in the camp and be required to wear a facemask to protect his nose in France's upcoming games. Clearly, not too put off by the ordeal, Mbappé did take to social media, jokingly asking his followers if they'd any ideas for his mask.
France's next game is their Group D clash with the Netherlands on Friday night at 20:00.
