Whether it is intentional or not, it is clear that few people can match the comedic timing of Roy Keane. The Cork man has an incredible knack of coming up with a hilarious comment at the ideal time, often to great effect.

Quite a few people have been on the end of such remarks in recent years during his time as a pundit, including his television colleagues and former teammates.

We were given another example today.

Roy Keane throws hilarious Jamie Carragher dig on Sky Sports

Roy Keane was on punditry duties for Sky Sports this afternoon, building up to this afternoon's clash between Liverpool and Arsenal alongside Jamie Carragher, Micah Richards, and presenter Dave Jones.

Part of their coverage involved looking back at a clash between the two sides back in 2004, a 4-2 win for the Gunners at Highbury. One of their goals came via Thierry Henry, who turned Carragher inside-out in the buildup to the strike.

It was certainly questionable defending from the ex-Liverpool defender, something Roy Keane couldn't help but make a comment on.

Richards: I don't know if you were dancing or twisting. You twist one way, twist the other, and you take [Igor] Biscan out of the game as well!

Carragher: My only defence was it was against the greatest player to ever play in the Premier League, that's my only defence. There was no protection, Didi Hamann is sprawling, Biscan whips me up. What do you want me to do?

Keane: Did you just come back from injury Jamie? Had you been out for a while?

Carragher: I was injured after that!

Jones: How would you describe that defending Roy?

Keane: Shocking! I was watching it and thought 'I'm going to say nothing today', but that was very, very poor seeing as Micah has brought it up. Shocking defending.

A classic line.
