Roy Keane has met the the media today in Versailles and, as you might have expected, it didn't take long for the name of one Thierry Henry to be brought up.

One of the prevailing narratives in the lead-in to this weekend's game is the opportunity to right the wrongs from Paris in 2009 but Keane has insisted to the media on hand in this morning's press conference that revenge "does not come into it", though you'd have to wonder if this is a phrase which will be repeated in the dressing room in Lyon at around 1.30pm on Sunday.

The Ireland assistant manager also fielded some questions as to his enthusiastic celebrations with Martin O'Neill after the conclusion of Wednesday's game and praised the Irish supporters for their efforts in getting behind the team.

Sometimes when you're playing a game you're obviously doing it for yourselves and your teammates and your family and the manager and the staff, but I really felt the other night that the players really wanted to give the supporters a night to remember. I just felt it in my bones.

Keane stated that Martin O'Neill will have a full squad to select from, with the possible exception of Burnley fullback Stephen Ward whose ankle has been troubling him since the victory over Italy on Wednesday evening. Keane, though, didn't go so far as to say that Ward is ruled out of contention.

Stephen's ankle is well blown up at the moment. He's desperate to play.

Jon Walters, meanwhile, trained with the squad today and is hopeful of playing a part in the match with Italy in what would be a huge boost to Martin O'Neill's men.
