One of the great major tournament traditions continued this afternoon, with the BBC and ITV faving off in their usual game to decide once and for all who was the superior British broadcaster. It featured big names pundits from both stations, including our very own Roy Keane.
These games have provided some memorable moments in the past, most notably Keane's dramatic winner in the same fixture during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
This year's edition of the game saw the BBC captained by Micah Richards, who for some reason opted to play in goals for his side.

There was a bit more star power on the ITV team, which featured the likes of Gary Neville and Jill Scott alongside Roy Keane.
While he may have retired almost two decades ago, this event was a reminder that the Irishman has not lost any of his competitive edge.

Roy Keane Had Furious Response To Neville Error In ITV-BBC Game
Roy Keane was never one to accept poor performances from his teammates during his playing days, something that he has carried through to this day.
When Gary Neville produced a questionable piece of defending to allow the BBC to find the back of the net, the Cork man made sure he let his feelings known.

Nev! Nev! F*****g get tighter!
You show him the line, you've got to stop the shot!
High standards, but you wouldn't expect anything less.
Roy Keane would also pop up at the other end with a goal of his own, reacting quickest to Jill Scott's saved penalty to find the back of the net for his side.

A real fox in the box.
When a 52-year old Roy Keane is taking a five-a-side game this seriously, you can only imagine what it was like to be one of his teammates back in the day.
