Roy Keane has been very critical of Manchester United this season, but even he seemed to get quite a bit of enjoyment out of their 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park yesterday.

The first half performance was actually a rather poor one, even if Alejandro Garnacho's incredible bicycle kick did have them in the lead at halftime. The second half was a very different story, with United putting together some excellent attacks as they secured the victory with further goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.

Speaking after the game, Keane admitted that he had been impressed with aspects of their performance:

There were glimpses there today, with the chances in the second half, that a little bit of the swagger was coming back. That was nice to see...

I was critical at halftime of some of the attacking players, I thought they needed a bit more in terms of their hold-up play and stretching them. That's exactly what they done, you need that from your attacking players.

If the Irishman enjoyed that part of the game on Merseyside, there was one period of the match where he seemed rather less pleased.

Roy Keane responds to abuse from Everton fans at Goodison Park

Roy Keane is always somewhat of a target when he travels to Premier League grounds, with his status as a villain during his playing days following him to the present day. He has been subjected to some nasty treatment in the past, most recently when he was confronted by an Arsenal fan at The Emirates.

There was no such malice on display yesterday, although he did get a bit riled up at one point.

Appearing in the Sky Sports studio at Goodison Park, Keane was clearly targeted with a bit of chanting from the home support. He did not seem to enjoy it all that much, responding by pointing to the action on the pitch during a period when Manchester United were winning the game.

He was certainly wasn't thrilled.

Roy Keane actually made reference to his exchanges with the Everton support on TV after the game, saying:

I think there was a lot anger at the ground here today. I think there was anger towards us here even, they seem to be angry with everybody.

There was certainly an overhanging sense of anger among Everton fans yesterday on the back of the club's ten-point deduction.

Roy Keane was never going to take kindly to being at the receiving end of that.
