Roy Keane was back on our screens on Sunday, as ITV carried coverage of the Community Shield between Arsenal and Manchester City at Wembley.
With City completing an historic treble last season, Premier League runners-up Arsenal took the place that would normally have been reserved for the FA Cup winners in the curtain raiser to the season.
Given how close they came to halting City's title charge last season, the Community Shield marked an early opportunity for Arsenal to get one over last season's perennial winners.

The Gunners have invested heavily during the summer, with Kai Havertz signed from Chelsea, Jurrien Timber arriving from Ajax, and David Raya rumoured to be on the way from Brentford.
The headline signing, however, was that of English midfielder Declan Rice, who arrived from West Ham for a fee in excess of £100 million.
Speaking on ITV pre-game, Roy Keane praised Rice for his strengths, but said that he believed Arsenal had paid significantly over the odds for the ex-Hammer.

Keane said that he was intrigued to see how Rice would respond to the new challenges of his surroundings, and praised him for his industrious presence on the pitch.
Nonetheless, the ex-Manchester United captain said that he had question marks over the fee that Arsenal had paid to acquire the 24-year-old:
He's obviously going to be surrounded by better players, different demands if he's going to play a little bit higher up the pitch.
He definitely has that quality in terms of adding more goals. He's got that physical strength, he can get in the box.
But they've obviously paid way too much for him. He's not worth over £100 million, Declan Rice.
You can say that about a lot of players, I agree. But we'll find out in the next year or two how good Declan is.
He turns up every week, he's a big strong boy - again, we talk about that phsyicality, they've lacked that the last month or two. Has he got that real top quality in terms of seeing a pass and getting nine or ten goals? We'll soon find out.
Rice and his Arsenal teammates would claim the first silverware of the season in dramatic fashion at Wembley later on Sunday afternoon.
With Manchester City leading through a Cole Palmer goal, and the clock ticking well past the eight minutes of additional time at the end of the second-half, the affair seemed done and dusted before Leandro Trossard popped up with a dramatic equaliser in the 101st minute.
A penalty shootout followed, which Arsenal went on to win 4-1 to start the season on a high.
If they are to kick on from last season's performance, Arsenal are going to need plenty more of these big performances.
