"I can't wait to hear what Roy Keane has to say about David Luiz," Clive Tyldesley declared during his commentary of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid's Champions League game on Wednesday evening.
Antoine Griezmann had just dispatched a penalty after Luiz had been punished for attempting to pull the shirt off Lucas Hernandez's back.
On ITV's Champions League highlights show, Keane obliged the commentator with some thoughts regarding Luiz's actions.
It's madness, really. He's cheating. It's a form of cheating, pulling the player's jersey when there's no need. Obviously a good decision by the referee.
Why he's doing it is beyond me because he's got people around him to help with the corner.
Lazy is another word. He's lazy, he's cheating; he's letting his teammates down. He's got no argument and to do that in such an important game... He knows himself, he's walking around there... look, he's not even arguing the point. There's no need, it's not as if the guy's going to have a free header.
We see a lot of that going on, so I'm glad players are getting punished for it because as I said, it's a form of cheating.
