This incredible clip of Roy Keane teaching an extremely young Danny Welbeck a thing or two on the training pitch has resurfaced.
The video shows the then Manchester United captain giving a masterclass on utilising strength on the field. The Cork native schools a 12-year-old Welbeck on how to properly shield the ball from an opponent.
As you can see from the footage, Keane takes the role of coach very seriously. Maybe being around footballers who showcased such heightened levels of professionalism gave youth prospects such as Welbeck the requisite skills to graduate from the academy and break into the senior squad.
The fact is, Roy Keane once taught Danny Welbeck and now he's a Premier League footballer. We'll never know whether the latter happened because of the former. We're certainly not going to dig up that whole nature v nurture debate again.
