Crystal Palace secured a 1-0 win away to Sheffield United today, in their opening game of the 2023/24 Premier League season, courtesy of a goal from Odsonne Édouard.
The French forward gave the Eagles the lead in 49th minute at Bramall Lane, with an assist from Jordan Ayew.
However, the most entertaining part of the game came when Palace manager Roy Hodgson was involved in a mini touchline scuffle with Sheffield United's Max Lowe, after a ball ran into touch near the manager's area.
The pair collided before the 76-year-old Hodgson briefly squared up to Lowe, who is 50 years his junior.

Earlier in the week Hodgson also spoke about the transfer of Wilfred Zaha, the want-away pair of Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen, and his own situation at the club.
“There is no desire to sell any of those players, and we cannot avoid speculation that other clubs will be interested in players of that quality.
“He’s done a wonderful job for the club during his time here. We can’t wish him well enough, but the fact is you can’t expect to have a player like Wilf doing what he’s done for you forever. The day is going to come when you have to prepare for life without him.
“I wanted to carry on because the club asked me to carry on, basically, and because I so much enjoyed last season, working with the team for the last ten games. The opportunity to carry on working with them was one that I certainly had no intention of resisting.”
