The Brazilian Ronaldo is in hospital in Spain and is reportedly suffering from pneumonia. The 41-year-old former Ballon d'Or winner was rushed to hospital after feeling chest pains on Friday in Ibiza and according to local news outlet 'Diario de Ibiza' is currently in intensive care.
The outlet reported that the former footballer was admitted to Can Misses Hospital on Friday evening, before he requested a transfer to a private hospital called Clinica Nuestra Señora del Rosario that same evening.
It quoted hospital sources as stating that Ronaldo was still in intensive care but that he was making good progress.
Following a glittering career at the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and AC Milan, Ronaldo's later years have seen him suffer with thyroid problems, which in turn have caused him to have issues controlling his weight.
Ronaldo owns a house in Ibiza and is a regular visitor to the island.
