Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday night.
Ronaldo received a red card for a second bookable offence after the referee adjudged him to have dived in the penalty area late in the game.
The Portuguese had received his first yellow card just minutes earlier for removing his shirt in celebration after scoring Real Madrid's second goal of the game.
Ronaldo had just entered the match 24 minutes earlier as a replacement for Karim Benzema - Real led 1-0 at the time.
Following a 76th minute Leo Messi penalty which made it 1-1, Ronaldo returned the advantage to his side in the 80th minute with a superb strike. His time on the pitch would last just further two minutes.
Real won the game 3-1.
