Atletico Mineiro were crowned champions of South America for the first time last night after a second leg fight back against Paraguay's Olimpia. Olimpia won the first leg 2-0, leaving Ronaldinho and co a tough task. Unbelievably former Manchester City striker Jo was the Star man and opened the scoring. It's hard to imagine him doing the same in a Champions League Final. Leonardo Silva scored a late equaliser, leading to a goalless extra time. It seemed all set up for Ronaldinho to win it, but Olimpia hit the upright with their last penalty, and the two time FIFA world player of the year was not required to step up.
