Welcome to a week in the life of Ronaldinho.
Having seen his astonishing talents burn out too early - in the opinion of this writer, at least - he has spent the last few words wandering the globe, popping up in various charity games and friendlies to remind everyone that he is much, much better than them.
He played a charity game this week, in which he beguiled with an audacious goal from the halfway line, to which the goalkeeper reacted to by applauding.

Fantastic.
Although how many more of these games Ronaldinho is likely to play in the near future may be in doubt, as the Great Man is planning to run for Senate in Brazil.
According to O Globo, Ronaldinho is planning to run for office in the state of Minas Gerais for the Patriota Party, a right-wing party who champion the free market while opposing same-sex marriage and abortion. Ronaldinho is aligned with presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro, and should the latter be elected to office next March, he is likely to run for office in the Senate elections next October.
Romario, of course, has become a politician of some renown in Brazil, and became known in this country as a result of his role in the Pat Hickey brouhaha in Rio last year.
