Romelu Lukaku is becoming a major problem for Premier League defences as he bagged two goals against Aston Villa today, which means he has now scored in three consecutive games.
His form has taken an upward turn this season, but while perhaps more was expected from him in recent years, his goal today saw him join a very exclusive group of Premier League goal scorers.
Lukaku's first goal against Aston Villa was his 50th in the Premier League, becoming only the 5th player in Premier League history to do so by age 23.
The other four players to achieve this feat are:
-Robbie Fowler
-Michael Owen
-Wayne Rooney
-Cristiano Ronaldo
Not bad company to be fair.
Since joining Everton, Romelu Lukaku has progressed to the point where he is now delivering on the potential many saw when he joined Chelsea at 18 years of age.
If he continues to progress, he could go on to set more records in the future.
