Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has taken aim at his critics by revealing in-house training numbers about his team-mates in a bid to prove he does not lack pace.

The Belgian forward is closing in on a move to Seria A side Juventus. The deal, which is reported to include a player-exchange for Paulo Dybala, would see Lukaku leave the club just two years after he joined from Everton.

It was a disappointing campaign for the 26-year-old last season but one thing he won't have criticised is his pace. Lukaku decided to record the club's training data and publish it on Twitter. The footage, which was later deleted, claimed he had the second-highest top speed in a training session behind Diago Dalot. The slowest, per the video, was Luke Shaw.

It comes after the Old Trafford faithful regularly cited Lukaku's first touch and speed as issues. Club's record top speed for the purposes of fitness teams and physiotherapists managing load.

Speaking to MUTV, Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had said that Lukaku is 'working his way back to fitness' with their pre-season game against AC Milan to take place tomorrow. It remains to be seen if he will play any part in that tie.
