After showing much early promise, it was ultimately a frustrating afternoon for Brazil who were held to a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in their opening World Cup Group E game. However, it was comments made prior to that tie that frustrated the outstanding AS Roma Twitter.
Speaking on RTE Sport prior to the game, Eamon Dunphy was discussing Brazilian goalkeeper Allison. The shot-stopper has been linked with Real Madrid and Liverpool in recent weeks after an impressive season at his club and Dunphy suggested he might soon be moving to Europe. Allison currently plays for Seria A side Roma in Italy.
Literally 2 minutes after Dunphy says Allison might be moving to Europe, RTE have a feature on him with loads of his highlights with Roma in the CL 😂😂😂😂

Eamon Dunphy has just said Allison is "good" and is "rumoured to be heading to Europe to play for one of the big clubs." Allison of AS Roma.

It was a comment that the wonderful AS Roma English twitter took issue with.
Damn, Italy miss one World Cup and people forget the place exists... 😳 https://t.co/umZl8IcDlo

As reported last week, The Serie A side's Twitter account also have a special relationship with former Irish international Damien Delaney. As for Dunphy, he endured an eventful evening as a bulb later exploded in the studio during his punditry.
