What a strike! There is nothing in football quite like a well struck volley. When it's done properly, striking a ball that is moving through the air is a real sight to behold. A lot of the most famous goals in football are volleys for this very reason, and we can add another one to that long list today.
Rolando Mandragora was playing for Udinese against Genoa this afternoon, with the 21-year old getting on the scoresheet in the most spectacular of fashions. He got on the ball around 30 yards from the opposition goal, controlling it perfectly with his chest before unleashing a venomous strike right into the top corner.
You won't see many goals better than that this season. It was a hell of a strike, and the way ball dipped in the air left the Genoa goalkeeper with absolutely no chance.
Mandraroga is a big talent, having made his Italy debut last year at the age 20. He joined Udinese from Juventus last summer, with the Turin club having the option to sign him back for €20million in the future. If he keeps producing moments of brilliance such as this, there is every chance he will get that move back to Italy's top club.
