Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool Animal Comparison Is Ridiculous

Brendan Rodgers has said that Liverpool were the "chihuahuas" to Jose Mourinho's "little horse", after his side snatched a late, late victory at Fulham last night.

Responding to Jose Mourinho's claim that Chelsea are only a "little horse" in terms of the title race, Rodgers ridiculed his equine analogy before making an animal-based comparison of his own.

"I don’t do all that horse stuff,” he said. “Jose is very good at all that sort of stuff. We may be the chihuahuas that run in between the horses’ legs. But we’re just about improving with each match.”

The what? "The chihuahuas that run between the horses' legs" sounds like an old, pointless Mexican proverb. Or an idea for some idiot's next tattoo.
