The rise of Karamoko Dembele's career continued over the weekend when he made his debut for the England U15s seven weeks after he had made his bow for the Scotland U16s.

Dembele is eligible to play for Scotland, England and the Ivory Coast.

He made headlines in October when, aged just 13, he came off the bench for the Celtic U20s in a game against Hearts. The young player has also trained with the Celtic first team.

It is a meteoric rise and one which Brendan Rodgers believes can continue. The Celtic manager spoke to Talksport this morning about the younger Dembele at the club.

Rodgers believes that it might not be long until we see him playing first team football for Celtic.

He’s played for Scotland, he’s played for England and he can actually play for the Ivory Coast as well!

He’s 14 in February, he’s a big talent and just needs the time to be nurtured and developed.

But it won’t be long. If he keeps going the way he is going, he could be one of those boys who is in the team at a very young age.

It’s nice for him. He’s enjoying his football, he gets looked after very well here at the club. The coaches here, he's got great trust in them.

We hope in the next number of years he could be the next one coming through.
