Roddy Collins Pisses People Off With These Very Radical Proposals On The League Of Ireland

The second oldest club in the League of Ireland need to be tossed out of the League. So says Roddy Collins, whose ability to wind up League of Ireland supporters continues to leave one awestruck.

Reflecting on the full house in Cork for Friday night's top of the table clash, Roddy indicated he wants to see some geographical streamlining.

First of all, we need to get rid of every club in Dublin outside of Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers.

Elsewhere, he sees little value in keeping Finn Harps about the place when Sligo Rovers and Derry City are already in situ.

Finn Harps have great tradition, but that is in the past. There are great people at the club and they are doing their best to get the club back to the Premier Division. But how big can they become? Not big enough in my opinion.

Roddy pre-empted the opposition to his plan which he says would consist of 'Brian Kerr jumping up and down' at St. Pat's exile. But, he insists that 'sentiment' must be discarded and ruthlessness is the only way.

Roddy's 'fanbase' online gave his proposals a cool response.

Alan Kelly, for one, saw Roddy's continued presence in the pages of the Star as grounds to rehabilitate the reputation of Joseph Stalin.
