Feyenoord beat Vitesse 2-1 in the Eredivisie on Sunday.

The game's final few minutes were drama-filled with Robin van Persie the key protagonist.

Matus Bero had given Vitesse a first half lead but it was cancelled out by Feyenoord's Brazilian centre-back Botthegin shortly after the break.

The game remained a tie until the 87th minute when Van Persie struck a sensational winner from a free kick. It was his sixth goal in seven league appearances this season.

The 35-year-old's part in the action was not over. Four minutes after his goal, Van Persie was sent-off.
