A Liverpool Legends side took on a Real Madrid Legends side in a charity match at the Bernabeu on Sunday. All proceeds from the game went to the Spanish Red Cross.

The Liverpool line up included such favourites as Jamie Carragher, Robbie Fowler, Jason McAteer, Stephane Henchoz and Steve McManaman.

Lining out for Real Madrid at left-back was Roberto Carlos. The Brazilian certainly embraced the type of mentality you'd hope that players would have in a game like this. One where they attempt the kind of things you would not see in a competitive game.

Rather than make your average cross field pass, the 42-year-old chose to volley it across to pitch to Michel Salgado at right-back.

Real Madrid won the game 4-2.
