An incredible story has come to our attention from the Attica region of Greece. Arsenal legend Robert Pires was taking in an amateur football game at the Municipal Stadium during his holiday, where local side AC Thyella Rafina were trailing at half time in a pre season friendly. A quick thinking official spotted Pires in the stands and managed to persuade the Frenchman to tog out for the home side in the second half.
On came Pires and he showed his class, scoring once and setting up another as Thyella Rafina ran out winners. The World Cup winner stayed on the field for an hour afterwards, taking pictures and signing autographs with delighted fans.
A classy performance all round by the ex-midfielder. Mr. Wenger if you're reading this, sign him up!
