On a night where Wales finally moved ahead of Ireland in Group D, former Welsh international Robbie Savage found himself in a Dublin hotel it seems.
Having chosen to watch Ireland's 1-0 defeat to Serbia, Savage had the good fortune of tuning into RTÉ's post-match analysis.
No doubt familiar with Damien Duff and Liam Brady, there was one figure that Savage was less aware of.
In Ireland... great result for Wales! Just listening to this guy on TV talking nonsense about @FAIreland performance... who is he?!! pic.twitter.com/QB2aKS5bXy

Now, we're well aware Savage revels in winding up those who choose to pay attention to him, but, is it possible that Eamon Dunphy isn't quite the influential 'football man' that we have pegged him for?
Surely not? Irish fans were quick to turn on the Welsh pundit in Dunphy's defence
A man who knows an awful lot more than you.

Savage does seem to have been sincere in his surprise, but we're certain he will be keeping a close eye on RTÉ from now on.
