The geniuses at Football Manager believed a couple of years ago that Robbie Keane would return home to play for Shamrock Rovers b 2016. They had no hunch that it would be Damien Duff who'd return home before that time.
In light of Duffer's return, a few journalists raised the prospect of a potential move back home with Robbie. He didn't rule it out but his comments were of the 'never say never' variety rather than the 'you can bank on it' type.
I don't know. I'm not too sure. It's something hopefully a good few years down the line. I'd never say never.
I haven't really thought about it to be honest. I'm here for a few more years. If in the future an opportunity came, I'd certainly consider it.
Keane turned 35 this month and is not keen to leave LA in the short-term. We suspect it is unlikely Keane will return home for a last hurrah in the League of Ireland.
