Wolves are heading to the Premier League and they want Robbie Keane to help them do it.
Keane is currently playing in the Indian Super League for its Kolkata-based champions, ATK, but the Mirror are reporting that Keane can secure an early release from his contract and return to his boyhood club where he first started playing at just 17.
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is reported to have kept a close eye on Keane's progress in India after an Achilles injury delayed his debut. Keane finally made his first appearance last month and enjoyed a successful outing as he scored and delivered his trademark celebration.
He scored again yesterday.

When Keane was 17 he made his Wolves debut, scoring twice in a dream start. He went on to be the club's leading scorer and his form for club and country soon earned him a move to Premier League club Coventry City for £6 million. This was at the time a record fee for a teenager.
Since then Keane has enjoyed a phenomenally successful career in England, Italy, Scotland and America. It would be a fairytale finish should the move transpire and Keane assist the club reach the Premier League.
Wolves are currently 12 points clear at the top of the Championship table. They already have Irishman Matt Doherty at the club and the addition of Keane's experience could be crucial in seeing out their promotion run.
There is no doubt it would be a joy to have Keane back where he belongs and cart-wheeling across the turf at Molineux. Make it happen, Nuno, you won't regret it.
