Earlier this week we pointed out how a bullshit transfer rumour was doing the rounds about Robbie Keane possibly moving to QPR.
While Keane has indeed sparked doubt around his MLS future, BBC accidentally picked up on two-year-old quotes from Harry Redknapp and suggested that the Ireland captain may be on his way to the London club. Despite our debunking of the story, it seems we're not the big fish one would think and many carried on with the rumour anyhow.
To the point where Redknapp was forced to come out and deny any possible move this week:
Robbie Keane is a fantastic player, one of the best professionals I've ever come across. You only have to look at what he's done in America. He hasn't gone there for a holiday, he's gone there and become the best player in the league.
He's an amazing footballer. I've never made any enquiry for Robbie, he belongs to the LA Galaxy, they aren't going to let him go.
So there you have it. Can we all stop with this rumour now?
