Robbie Keane's has secured his first management role, with the former Irish striker taking charge of Indian Super League club ATK as a player-manager.
Teddy Sheringham, who was appointed as the manager before the start of the season, had been sacked due to poor performances and replaced by Ashley Westwood. However after Westwood also departed the club confirmed Keane would assume the role of player-manager for the game against NorthEast United.

Keane already holds a UEFA A licence and has been based in India since moving to the club last year. He has been in impressive form for the club lately, including a recent brace.
ATK have not enjoyed a successful season as they failed to make the semifinals for the first time ever. They are currently in the eighth spot on the table.
