It was always on the cards, but with announcement of the 2015 winner of the newly named Landon Donovan MLS MVP award comes the official confirmation that Robbie Keane is no longer the MVP of Major League Soccer.
That title now goes to former Juventus striker Sebastian Giovinco, who has dazzled for Toronto FC after surprising many in Europe with his decision to move to Canada last January.
The pint-sized Italian provided an impressive 22 goals and 16 assists in 33 appearances for Tonoto FC this term, an improvement on Robbie Keane's 19 goals and 14 assists which saw him scoop the award in 2014, as well as a number of stunning goals, such as this one against New York Red Bulls:
In fact, Robbie wasn't among the three candidates for the award despite bagging 20 goals and 8 assits, the runners up being Kei Kamara of Columbus Crew, and Benny Feilhaber of Sporting Kansas City.
