They may have signed up Steven Gerrard but that doesn't mean LA Galaxy are forgetting about the MVP. Robbie Keane has been an undoubted success since making the big move to the MLS and his stint Stateside is set to continue after the club announced a contract extension with Ireland's leading goalscorer.
The MVP is here to stay.

In line with the MLS' policy, the specific terms of the deal have not been disclosed, which means we don't actually know how long Robbie will be around for yet. However, he also signed a contract extension last March worth an estimated €70,000 a week. That gives an indication of the kind of deal that Keane will be on.
Speaking about the announcement, Galaxy coach Bruce Arena explained just how happy he was to see Keane sign a new contract.
We’re very pleased Robbie will continue to be a member of the Galaxy in the coming years. He has been one of the key pieces in our success over the past five seasons. We look forward to even more success with Robbie as a member of our team.
Now, what better way to celebrate that contract than to score the winner against Scotland on Saturday.
