Robbie Brady has been withdrawn from the Ireland squad for the upcoming friendlies against Georgia and Spain and the World Cup qualifier against the Faroe Islands due to a groin problem.
Hull City say that despite the player being able to train and play, it was in his best interest to withdraw, allowing him to recover fully from the injury ahead of the beginning on the Premier League season.
The Hull City medical staff have been in close consultation with the Republic of Ireland medical staff regarding Robbie and both feel that although he is able to train and play, albeit with some discomfort, it is in the player’s best interest to undergo a period of structured rehabilitation to prevent the problem worsening.
Brady was an unused substitute for the 1-1 draw against England at Wembley on Wednesday.
