Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce confirmed this morning that the signing of Sunderland left-back Patrick van Aanholt is imminent.
The 26-year-old Dutch international will undergo a medical at the club this morning. The fee is reported by Sky Sports to be around £14 million.

The signing of Van Aanholt means the move for Brady is off. Allardyce's side were reported to have agreed a fee of £9 million possibly rising to £12 million with Norwich for the Irish international earlier this week.

Kevin Palmer, writing for Independent.ie on Thursday, reported that Brady was possibly being used as a 'bargaining chip' by Crystal Palace. He was their alternative option - a name they could drop into discussions while negotiating a fee with Sunderland for Van Aanholt.
A Premier League move for Brady before the close of the January window on Tuesday is still on with Burnley reportedly interested in the player.
Considering that Burnley's chances of staying in the Premier League currently appear much higher than that of Palace - they are five places and 10 points ahead - it is perhaps for the best that the move to London appears to not be happening.
