It has been the most drawn-out transfer of the summer, from an Irish perspective at least, but Robbie Brady's touted move to Leicester City might be back on after the English champions' bank account swelled considerably over the weekend after the sale of N'Golo Kante to Chelsea.
Brady's performances for Ireland at the Euros had numerous clubs being linked with her services in the press, with Leicester and Southampton appearing to be the most realistic destinations for the Dubliner's services. Leicester look like they've jumped back to the top of the queue however as they look to fill some gaps in their title-winning squad.

Leicester have an extra £30 million to play with following Kanté's sale and perhaps even more in future if rumours of Riyad Mahrez moving on are true and Claudio Ranieri has retained in interest in Brady, as well as Burnely centre back Michael Keane, all summer.
If the deal goes ahead Brady will compete with Marc Albrighton for a slot on the left side of Leicester's midfield.
A sizeable portion of the Kanté money might well have to be spent on increasing player contracts though, with Kasper Schmeichel, Danny Drinkwater and Mahrez all in contention for new deals.
A move to Leicester - and therefore the Champions League - would be hugely beneficial for Brady's development ahead of the Irish World Cup qualifying campaign, so all eyes will be on how this potential deal develops over the next few days.
