Hull City have set their asking price for Ireland winger turned wide-midfielder turned left-back Robbie Brady after Norwich City failed with a bid of £3m to bring the former Man United academy player back to the Premier League.
According to the Daily Star, Steve Bruce has told Norwich that they will have to come up with £9m to pry the dead-ball specialist away from the KC Stadium.
Brady was a regular for Hull throughout last season which unfortunately ended in relegation for the Tigers and their crew of Irish internationals, which could now be reduced to just David Meyler after Paul McShane and Stephen Quinn both signed for Reading on free transfers.
Hull seem determined to keep hold of Brady, and as a result have set a high asking price in the hope of deterring Norwich or any other potential suitors who want a left sided player who loves nothing more than whipping a ball into a "dangerous area".
The fee of £9m may seem a bit steep to some but keep in mind that Brady is just 23 and has proven that he is capable of playing a number of positions.
It remains to be seen if Norwich will follow up with another bid, we'll keep you updated on this as we hear more.
