Robbie Brady is set to be offered a sizeable contract by another Championship club that would make him one of the highest-paid players in the division, according to reports.
The January transfer window is only a few days old and already we have heard a serious amount of speculation surrounding Robbie Brady's future. Big Sam Allardyce even openly acknowledged that he would love to bring the Dubliner to Crystal Palace. If reports from the Norwich fans are anything to go by, Brady has perhaps been taking on board the interest and realised that his talents could be leading him to a club performing at a slightly higher level that the Canaries.
One club that has been linked with a bid for Brady is Aston Villa. And Villa manager Steve Bruce has the aim of taking Brady to the Midlands club in a swap deal involving Ross McCormack, who has had a disappointing spell at Villa since his move from Fulham in the summer.
That's according to a report in the 'Sun', which is saying that Palace - who have been "linked with a £10 million move for Brady" - and Leicester are the immediate competition for Villa.
Villa are said to be preparing an offer of a tasty £50,000-a-week contract for Brady, which would bring him to Villa to perhaps slot into midfield alongside fellow former Republic of Ireland player Jack Grealish.
