The hunt for Robbie Brady's signature this January is heating up.
The Ireland international looks almost certain to leave Carrow road this month. After an indifferent half-season, many Norwich supporters appear to believe the time is right to cash in on the 24-year-old.
During the summer, Norwich reportedly wanted £20 million for the player following some impressive performances at the European Championships. That figure, an excessive valuation, even according to the player himself, has since been lowered. Norwich are now reportedly looking for £12 million.
That decrease has led to increased interest in the Dubliner.
According to the Eastern Daily Press, six clubs now have their eyes Brady.
Those include a number from the Premier League - Leicester, Burnley, Swansea and Crystal Palace.
Crystal Palace reportedly tabled a bid of £7 million for Brady earlier this week. That came after new-appointed Palace manager Sam Allardyce openly expressed an interesting in the left-back/winger.
Somebody like Robbie Brady, I would say yes. Anybody like that, if the club says they are available.
Maybe a centre-half is something we will look at, but for the moment a left-back is our main priority. I am looking first and foremost for a left-back from this country with Premier League experience.
The other two linked with Brady are Championship clubs - Aston Villa and Newcastle.
Though the latter suffered two unexpected defeats during the Christmas period of fixtures, they are near certainties for promotion. A move to Newcastle would be as close to guaranteed Premier League next season as Brady could get.
The same could not be said of Burnley, Swansea, Palace and to a lesser extent Leicester.
