Dundalk defeated Waterford in a top three clash on Monday night at Oriel Park.
The home side took the lead just over five minutes before the break. It was as beautiful strike from Robbie Benson - from just inside the box - which broke the deadlock. It gave Dundalk a deserved half-time lead.
The goal was Benson's fifth of the season.
