So Lionel Messi gets the Ballon D'Or for the second year in succession.  The rest of his Barca teammates miss out. The whole thing only starts to get interesting when you go through the votes from the national captains and coaches.

Some glaring omissions, Argentinan capo Javier Macherano and both Giovanni Trapattoni and Robbie Keane, no where to be seen. Mascherano had already drawn attention to his missing ballot, but what of Trap and Robbie?.. At least Jimmy Magee remembered to vote,
