Pep Guardiola is never one to hid his emotions during a game. There have been countless examples of joyous celebrations or outbursts at opponents or officials when the Spaniard is on the sideline, with the Manchester City boss always wearing his heart on his sleeve.
Such antics don't always necessarily go down well. It often rubs opposition teams up the wrong way, while many have also criticised the 52-year old in the media for the way he has conducted himself at times.
We were given another example this afternoon.
Rio Ferdinand questions Pep Guardiola for Liverpool celebration
Manchester City faced Liverpool today in what look like a potentially decisive game in the Premier League title race. A defeat to Jurgen Klopp's side at the Etihad would have left them well behind Arsenal at the top of the division.
There were some fears that this would be the case early in the game, with Mohamed Salah giving the visitors the lead in the 17th minute.

However, they would draw level ten minutes later.
Julian Alvarez was the man to get the goal, finishing off a brilliant team move to get his side back on level terms.
No Haaland... no problem! 😜

It was an excellent goal, one which Pep Guardiola thoroughly enjoyed.
He wasn't shy in celebrating the strike, goading a number of Liverpool substitutes in the process as they made their way back from their warmup.
Speaking on BT Sport at halftime, Rio Ferdinand said he was surprised to see that the opposition players did not react to the manager's actions.
"I don't know how Tsimikas hasn't pushed him out of the way there!" 👀

That celebration there, I don't know how [Kostas] Tsimikas hasn't pushed the opposing manager Pep Guardiola out of the way.
He seems happy. He can see it's a fantastic team goal, really well worked from Man City and he couldn't contain himself.
Arthur Melo had a few words with him, but you get the sense that some other players would have had a far more feisty reaction to Guardiola during an incident such as this one.
Of course, things would very much go in City's favour from this point in the match.
