'World class' was one hell of an irritating title even before Alex Ferguson decided to get a debate going about which of his players he considers to be from the top shelf of world football. That ongoing debate has now made the term even worse.
How could Eric Cantona be considered world class but not Roy Keane? In reality it's all subjective and you can just imagine Fergie sitting back and laughing that he's still able to cause petty squabbles well into his supposed retirement. The former Man United centre back may have formed an excellent partnership with Nemanja Vidic but that wasn't sufficient to see his name up in lights alongside Fergie's favourites and, judging by this post on his Facebook page, it seems he may be rather upset.
