The names of Michael Thomas, Sergio Aguero, and Jimmy Glass have become enshrined in legend for dramatic end of the season strikes. To this, we can now add the name of one Kim Won il, who's absurdly scrappy goal secured the title for the Pohang Steelers against their rivals Ulsan in the K-League.

Ulsan topped the table by 2 points heading into this game, which amounted to a straight shoot-out for the title. Decimated by injuries, Ulsan retreated to the edge of their own box for the 90 minutes, tigerishly defending their lead. In the final seconds, a free kick was lobbed in, was never satisfactorily cleared, and the ball proceeded to bob around like a pinball for an insanely long time before that man Won il forced it home.

Cue scenes of rare devastation in the Ulsan end of the ground and breathless euphoria among the ranks of Pohang supporters.

Aguero and Thomas are old news, we all live in Kim Won il's world now.
