Richie Towell continues to struggle to force his way into the Brighton first-team, currently scrapping it out at the top of the Championship with promotion looking increasingly probable, but the FA Cup may prove his salvation.
Towell started in Brighton's third round victory and he has started once again today, against Lincoln City, and has made a significant impact: wreathing the game in class with an inch-perfect volley to put Brighton ahead against their lower-league opponents.
Watch it below, it's a lovely, lovely finish. (Admittedly, the defending isn't fantastic).

So happy for my man Richie Towell scoring! Hope he kicks on because he SHOULD 100% be playing in this #BHAFC team!

Let's get some better lyrics for the Richie Towell song - it's abysmal #bhafc (even sing twist and shout over Richie Towell every time)

Towell appeared on Off the Ball ahead of the game, and what came across was his remarkable self-belief: stating with conviction that he would make any other midfield in the Championship, while also saying that the patience he has shown at Brighton is indicative of evolving maturity.
Here's hoping Towell can now rack up a few more appearances. (Sorry).
