Obviously there are exceptions to the rule, such as Colin Healy and his sensational bicycle kick for Cork City last year, but by and large, bicycle kicks are not something you would associate with the people of Ireland.
We'd argue that nobody is better at scoring from a rebound, or scoring after a massive goalkeeper kickout, but when it comes to acrobatics, it's better left to the Brazilians or Peter Crouch.
Proof of this comes in the form of a tweet from Richie Sadlier, who today tweeted an X-Ray he found from the aftermath of a failed bicycle kick attempt in 1999, and it's as bad a break as you will see:
