Colombia raised a few eyebrows yesterday at RTE studios (mainly Kenny Cunningham's) after they brought on veteran goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon to play at the age of 43. Mondragon beat Roger Milla's record of oldest player to play at the World Cup.

With top spot guaranteed Colombia chose to make a sentimental substitution which didn't sit well at all with Kenny Cunningham and Didi Hamaan, a pairing who look like they wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire.

Richie Sadlier couldn't understand the lads' ire and defended the decision.

The debate was a precursor to todays hilarious exchange when Sadlier claimed that Cunningham was getting 'too angry about everything'.

The World Cup's oldest player record was previously held by Roger Milla, who played at the age of 42 years, one month and eight days at USA '94.
