Fulham's Lewis Holtby must have been convinced he had scored after his shot headed towards the net yesterday during Fulham's vital away win at Aston Villa. Matt Lowton got back on the line and stopped the goal by a margin that could charitably be described as tighter than a duck's backside.


So yes, it was close but the proof is right there. It was not a goal. That however, didn't convince everyone. Here's former Sky Sports front man Richard Keys' view:
