You may well be thinking, 'what could Richard Keys possibly be welcoming Gary Neville to?' The former Man United captain has left Sky Sports to take over as manager of one of Spain's biggest teams. Richard Keys left Sky Sports in a cloud of controversy and a couple of horrendous interviews where the 'b' word was mentioned to such an extent that any credibility he had was immediately washed away.
Keys puts his head above the parapet from his Qatari hideout every couple of months but for the most part he's largely been forgotten about. And everyone seems happy about that. However, we're starting to think we may have been wrong this entire time.
We'd like to start a completely imaginary online petition to bring Richard Keys back to public consciousness because he's obviously decided that he'd become some kind of avant-garde comedian and completely stick to the hilariously exaggerated caricature of himself.
We'll concede that that seems unlikely but when you see his welcome for Gary Neville then it's the only thing we can come up with.
Good luck Gary. And welcome to the big time. pic.twitter.com/2sKlqlBRPu

The replies to that kind message have been scathing to say the least with these being some of the more family friendly.
@richardajkeys Man United captain. England assistant coach. Think he was already a bit more 'big time' than you, kidda.

@richardajkeys how does one welcome someone to a place he's never been ?

@richardajkeys Welcome? He was Captain of Man Utd. He knows the big time.

'Welcome to the big time' is the sentence that, in our estimation, has pushed Keys past the realm of 'disgraced former Sky presenter' and into the much more entertaining role of 'self effacing parody of disgraced former Sky presenter'.
Keep up the good work Richard, people are going catch on to this comedy act one day and then you'll be a star again.
