After being a constant figure for Sky Sports' Premier League coverage throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, it's safe to say that Richard Keys' broadcasting career has been on a downward spiral for the past decade.
Back in 2011, Keys left Sky Sports after his sexist comments made towards assistant referee Sian Massey were leaked. Since then, the presenter has found himself often in the middle of Twitter spats due to his ludicrous views on football.
In the past few years, he has been a presenter on beIN Sports alongside Andy Gray who also had to leave his job with Sky due to the conversation between the two.
On Thursday afternoon, the Qatar-based broadcaster was back with yet another strange take, this time a comparison between Frank Lampard and Julien Nagelsmann.

Richard Keys gives his opinion on the Lampard or Nagelsmann argument
Since Graham Potter's sacking as Chelsea manager, opinions have been shared all over social media as to who should become Chelsea's next head coach.
With Frank Lampard at the helm until the end of the season, a decision regarding the club's next permanent manager is likely to be made in the off season, with former RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann one of the names being heavily linked with the job.

Nagelsmann is without a doubt one of the hottest managerial prospects in the world and at the age of just 35, he could be a perfect fit at Stamford Bridge.
At least that is the opinion of a number of footballing fans around the world, but not Richard Keys, who believes the answers to Chelsea's recent woes lies lot closer to home.
I fail to see what Julian Nagelsmann knows that Frank Lampard doesn’t. If it’s a straight choice between the two I’d go with the legend that knows Chelsea inside out - not someone who might have a more impressive power-point display but knows nothing about the club or our league.

The best reactions to Keys' Frank Lampard tweet
The tweet is almost comical considering Lampard's poor managerial record to date and Keys' reference to "our league" is something which Premier League fans will likely find humorous.
Like most of Richard Keys' horrendous takes on football, it has sparked Twitter into overdrive, with fans from all over the planet ridiculing the presenter for yet another woeful tweet.
Don’t think the power-point presentations were responsible for saving Hoffenheim from relegation when they were dead and buried before taking them into the Champions League with two successive top 4 finishes.

Spot on Keysey lad. I always find it baffling why they appointed Mourinho in 2004 when Dennis Wise, a Chelsea legend who knew all about the club and the league was available.

What did Pep Guardiola know about Man City that Paul Dickov didn't?

Richard Keys likely won't care about the reaction to his tweet, at the end of the day, most of his opinions which he shares on social media are almost all as bizarre as each other, but it terms of credibility for someone who is paid to speak about football, it certainly won't help that.
